The cell/smartphone. It has enabled a level of “connected-ness” never before imagined and will end up (it already has to a major degree, but this is only the beginning) revolutionizing the way we connect with people, places, and things.

To think that all this is possible simply by sending electrical impulses through the air. If we could see energy at that frequency, we’d be able to look around us and see people’s conversations, images, and their entire lives shooting through the air … literally right before our eyes.

The Kymera Wand could be included in this as well, since it also does what it does by sending invisible pulses of energy through the air to control devices.

I’d love to have one and try it out. As cool as it is, it also makes a nice decretive piece when not in use and sitting out on the coffee table or where ever.

I would have to say that the most magical invention in the last 20 years is the Kymera Wand! PCs and Cell Phones have been around longer than 20 years so this definitely hits the top of the list! I’d love to win one of these and get my Harry Potter on! Well done! IT looks so authentic!

If you are looking at the future of magical inventions, you need not look further than TED’s Tan Li video demonstration of the 14 channel EEG brainwave reader. Allowing the wearer direct thought commands for computer opperated gadgets. For computer driven imagery and virtually everything you use you fingers for now, you would simply think it. Models have been out for years ranging in the thousands of US dollars and only several channels open for different variables open for thought-command translation which need direct scalp contact (parts of the wearers head needs shaven where the contacts meet for good connectivity). However, with Tan Li’s demonstration you see that, with her teams model, 14 different channels are open for thought interpretated commands without the need to shave any part of the wearers scalp for increased

(sorry idk why my comment was cut off towards the end)

Without the need to shave any part of the wearers scalp for increased connectivity or accuracy reading brainwaves. As Merlin himself would urge the need for mastery over both verbal and non-verbal commands and also both spells with unspoken encantations and ones without gestures.

Ok, a) this is the most awesome thing i’ve seen all year… and i just watched a very potter sequel, so i can assure you, i am quite serious. hm… the most magical invention in the past 20 years… its a tossup, in my opinion, between, the Kymera, Fanfiction, and Starkid. If i win this, i’m going to put driftwood in a fireplace, hook it up with IR, incendio it (with the Kymera) and have myself a flop connection :D

The Kymera wand is THE most amazingly magical invention of the last twenty years. It gives all of the kids like me (the ones that wanted to be a wizard) the ability to live out their dreams. With the wand I can be Dumbledore :D What other invention of the last twenty years gives you that awesome of a power?

Please tell me this give-away is going to be repeated this year! (2012). I just purchased a Wand for a family Dirty Santa game but am now VERY worried – what if someone else gets it and I do not get a chance to get it back?!?!? Will have to hire a hit man? There could be troubling times in the kingdom!
